Day 17 - Sun 4 Oct 09
Gosh that carriage was hot last night! Got to Bercy on time and walked up the deserted streets of Paris towards Notre Dame. Since I was there two weeks ago the embankments of the river had been painted with a series of black and white murals. I stayed outside Notre Dame with the bags while Phil popped into look around. Then it was off to find a McD's for a toilet break.
A metro trip to Gare du Nord allows us to leave our bags in left luggage, and then make it down to the Eiffel Tower, but there are hoards of tourists, and a massive queue. So we head off on the Metro again to the Arc de Triomphe. After all that it was time to head back to Gare du Nord to collect the luggage and jump on the Eurostar to London.
