After spending an afternoon looking around Brussels I realised that I hadn't seen one of the more famous sights - the 'Manneken Pis' the statue of a boy having a pee. As I turned the corner I must admit I was rather shocked at the size of the fountain - it's tiny!

My visit to Brussels was as the end of my Japan->UK overland trip, so it had a lot of competition - Shanghai, The Forbidden City, The Great Wall, Lake Baikal, Red Square, The Kremlin.

I am kinda glad that I only had one night to kill in Brussels, as there really isn't that much to do - Cafe culture is very much operation, and after you've seen the main square, then the only other thing to do is people watch.
