I'm sorry to say that New Delhi didn't really grab me, I didn't have a problem with the numbers of people, or the air of organised chaos. It's just that as far as I could see there wasn't a great deal to do!
I visited Connaught Place (which is a lot less impressive that I thought it would be), the Red Fort (which was good), Humayun's Tomb (which was beautiful), Bahá'í temple (which was most unexpected) and the Gandhi Museum (which was though provoking).
Somehow I missed out on seeing India Gate and Rashtrapati Bhavan, but as I say 'you always need a reason to come back to a place'.
It could have been the heat that put me off New Delhi, when I was there it topped 31°c and that's just too much for me.
Chances are I'll find my way back to Delhi at some point, and maybe I'll have more time to look around and discover the real Delhi.
