I made it to Zagreb in true Countrybagging style - I had a few days holiday just across the border in Slovenia, so I hopped on a train in Ljubljana and two hours later I was stepping off the train and into Zagreb!
My first stop was the Tourist Board, where I collected a walking tour of the city. The tour took in the Cathedral of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, a large twin spired church, which when I visited was covered in scaffolding! oh well!
I also saw St. Mark's Church which has the various coats of arms made from the titles in the roof, it has to been seen to believed!
Lotrscak Tower has a cannon sticking out of one of the upper floor windows, and at midday it's fired to give the inhabitants of Zagreb a free timecheck.
