My journey through Denmark started on a ferry from Puttgarden in Germany to Rodby, and then a drive up towards Copenhagen via Maribo, Hillerod (the sight of a Dutch Renaissance castle (Frederiksborg Slot) that's spread across three islands), Fredensborg (The Queen's summer palace) and Helsingor (the setting for Shakespeare's Hamlets Castle).
Helsingor is also a jumping off spot for the ferry across the water to Helsingborg in Sweden (but that's another web page!)
After Copenhagen I drove down to the island of Mon to see the cliffs, a sort of a smaller version of the white cliffs of Dover!
