Day 13 - Wed 30 Sept 09
up at 06:30 for a 07:00 breakfast, and then a 'taxi' down the hill to the main road to catch the bus to Saranda on the coast. The bus is another battered old D303, and it climbed up and over the hills at a snails rate with one old boy jumping off as often as he could for a pee. The trip's only supposed to take a hour, but it was gone 09:30 by the time we arrived. Cutting it a bit fine as the ferry for Corfu was supposed to leave at 10:30.
Arrived on Corfu and got through immigration with no issues, and walked into town. Found the ferry agency and swapped the Internet tickets for some real ones for the trip to Venice. Continued the walk into town and found the hotel we'd booked for tomorrow night - Good news, they have a room for tonight as well, so we don't have to muck around swapping hotels.
Had a quick shower and then headed out to explore, and I have to say that I wasn't that impressed. It's full of tourists and shops selling rubbish to tourists. Had a very expensive lunch and then headed back to the hotel. Out again much later for another expensive meal that was no great shakes.
