A day a work, and then a taxi down to the railway station, and the train onward to Stansted. The place is heaving with people, and the Easyjet check-in's are mobbed with people. It doesn't help that the baggage handling kit breaks down!

However the security line is super quick, I barely had chance to get my plastic bag of toiletries out of my main bag before I was at the X-ray machine!

Of course the flight is delayed by about any hour as no one can check in any baggage. The flight is uneventful apart from the kid sitting next to me, who keeps belting the back of the seat in front of him which is his sisters. Brotherly Love!

Through Immigration in super quick time, and skip baggage reclaim. Out onto the concourse, and purchase a train ticket from the machine, and then consult the timetable I printed out before I left. There's a train to Utrecht in 10 mins from platform 1! The train arrives early, but is a few minutes late getting to Utrecht about a half hour later.

There's something that gets me about travel, even if it is to a dare I say it mundane place, I just found myself smiling on the train.

Check into my hotel and then nip down to the bar for a quick drink and something to eat. They've closed the bar on the 20th floor that gave great views of Utrecht - such a shame! Into bed by midnight CET!
