Day 5 - Tue 3 May 05, Tokyo, Japan
Up at 06:15, showered, packed and out of the hotel by 06:40, walked down to Shinjuku and caught the 7:19 train. Rang Charlie and got her to collect me from the station, and we headed straight off to Mt. Fuji, as it tends to cloud over in the afternoon.
The traffic was terrible, and we only moved 11km in 3 hours, but the time flew by as Charlie and I were catching up with all the gossip. We eventually made it onto the express way and made it up to 40kph! Arrived at Mt. Fuji by 14:00, and took the Subaru toll road up to the fifth station at about 2000 metres.
But Fuji is just like any other mountain, the closer you get to it, the less you see! However, it didn't cloud over and I did get some good photographs.
Travelling back took a lot less time, and grabbed something to eat at a pseudo-australian place!
