Day 21 - Thr 19 May 05, Irkutsk, Russia
Up for breakfast at 08:00 - pancakes wirh jam - yummy!
One last look around the village, before we were collected at 11:00, and driven back to Irkutsk. The homestay here is very different from last night. In a flat on the fourth floor of an apartment block, but the householder (Tanya) seems very nice
After being given the keys and instructions on how to use them, we head out for a walk around the city. The main street is presentable enough, and we have a closer look at some Russian Othordox churches. Then we wandered down to the river, which is flowing very quickly, and found a tour boat. We got on board, and managed to work out that it was due to cast off at 15:00. At 15:20 we decided that it wasn't going anywhere, and got off.
Back to the homestay to find out that the water in this part of the city has been turned off for annual maintenance. Oh well!
Supper was good, and we got to see the entire family including Yasha the dog.
