Day 23 - Sat 21 May 05, Trans-Mongolian train, Russia
Lost an hour last night due to time zone changes, but slept well - my bunk mate has now gone - I almost gained another, but she didn't like the look of me, so the provodniitsa moved her to another cabin. Breakfast was a bit of a wash out, I tried to get an omelette with no meat, but in the end Guy and David got omelettes with no meat, and I got nothing. Oh well!
Lunch was more successful that breakfast, I tried the chicken, Guy tried the beef, and finished off my chicken (I think he's fully recovered now!) but the music in the dining car is VERY LOUD.
We tried to see the obelisk beside the track which marks the half way point between Berlin and Moscow but failed spectacularly.
Supper was a Chinese dried noodle affair, with some bread from the last station stop - very nice it was too. It's now raining outside, for the first time since Osaka 15 days ago!
