Day 30 - Sat 28 May 05, Brussels, Belgium
The final day - up at 08:00 and had breakfast at a restaurant around the corner - far cheaper than the hotel breakfast. After a bit of mucking around on the Metro (it shows tram interchanges) got to Brussels Mid, and checked into Eurostar with no stress, and for the first time I didn't have to fill in a form to enter a country!
Well, I'm on the Eurostar my penultimate train journey, hacking through Belgium at 200kph. As soon as the train came out of the tunnel all the mobile phones in the carriage started going off!
Back in the UK, it's been a good trip, very different from my other around the world trips, this was more about the mode of travel - but I did get to see some amazing things!
We're now crawling through Kent at 50kph.

After travelling half way around the planet on trains, the only one that was late was the Eurostar. Oh well!
