Day 11 - Mon 21 Apr 2003

Plane/Japan

I have no idea if yesterday was the shortest day I've ever experienced, or it it's going to be today... I'm now the other side of the International Date Line, so it's officially tomorrow. Have a splitting headache, but managed to cat nap for a couple of hours. We've started to descend, and according to the little screen we're 56 minutes out. Of course Mr Fogg gained a day on his trip, but I'm going the other way so I lose most of one.

I was up at 7am on the 20th, and I'm going to bed at 9pm on the 21st, that's 38hrs but body clock wise, it's only 22hrs. Off the plane and into Japan. Barry collected me from the airport which was cool, but we got a little bit lost on the way back - not really his fault - Tokyo is a very big place!!

It's hard to get my head around this I'm in Japan, but on an American Air Force base, which is SO American. I'd put all my dollars away, and now I'm going to have to dig them all out again! Very tired - so after a cup of tea and a chat with Charlie I went to bed!
