Around the World I

Day 29 - Fri 9 May 2003

Didn't have anything planned for today, so didn't get up early, and by the time I did it was too hot to go out! so stayed in my hotel until about 5pm! There's a Saudi TV channel which seems to show the same three movies each day - 'Major League II', 'Roadtrip' and 'Moby Dick' - very strange.

Watched the traffic on the creek, and took one final trip on an Abra. Changed some money at a crap rate - but changing it in the UK could be impossible. I've seen very few western faces while I've been here - but walking through the Gold souq this afternoon I saw stacks - maybe there was an airline on a stopover?

I'm now at the airport (about 6hrs before the flight is scheduled to depart!) You go through security first, and then check in, that's new! Who would schedule a flight to leave at 02:35 in the morning!
