Day 30 - Sat 10 May 2003
Well it's 01:35am so I'm entitled to start the final(?) entry in this journal. Found some lounge chairs in the airport, so stretched out and had 40 winks. I fear that today could be a very long day! I guess that depends on how fun the flight is, and if I can get any sleep, I'm surprised how good I feel after a month on the go - but I am glad to be heading back home. I just wish I could get there NOW!
Well I doubt if this flight is going to be a good one - it's quite full, and I'm sitting next to a kid!
Ah things change! the kid's mother had a word with the steward, and he suggested that I moved to the back of the plane - and I got two seats to myself!
Looks like I have the option to see "Three Weeks Notice" that's the third time!
The flight wasn't too bad, managed to get three hours sleep - but as per usual Lufthansa can't organise anything. Delayed landing, plane stops on the apron, steps down to buses - how 1950's last time I was in Frankfurt they were building a new terminal - I assume they haven't finished it!
I'm on a plane again - a short hop from Frankfurt into LHR - got my aisle seat on a 3x3, and I swear that I've got more leg room on this flight than the long haul that I've just come in on!
I've just reset my watch for the final time - back to 08:55 GMT.
Weirdly enough the final flight, although it was the shortest, was the worst - I guess it's because I'm so close to home.
Caught the bus to my friends in Welwyn Garden City, and stayed the night - watched 'Insomnia' in the evening - something I certainly didn't have - as soon as my head hit the pillow I was asleep!
