Day 8 - Fri 9 Apr 2004
Singapore
Wandered down to the big supermarket to get a few cans of Pocari Sweat, and then headed over to Raffles hotel and had a sit down in the main entrance - but didn't have a Singapore Sling, it was a bit early! The took the SIA Hopper bus around town, saw Chinatown - but most of it seemed to be closed. Then onto Orchard Road - wow, 1st class shopping or what?
Headache brewing - so back to the hotel for a sleep. Up later for a look around Little India - went to the local big dept. store, it's even got a cafe and a hotel! If they don't sell it, it isn't worth selling.
Singapore is an interesting place, with many different types of people and there is a LOT of money here - I haven't seen a single begger. But - there isn't a great deal to see in Singapore, however it's easy to get around, and hassle free.
Shopping is what you do here.
