Day 38 - Sat 8 May 2004
Washington DC
Up late - met up with David's family for lunch which was cool, they were impressed by my travels!
Emerald and David then dropped me off at Dulles. I used the Silver check-in which was quite busy really. Got an upgrade to Business Class by using one of my lovely Star Alliance vouchers. That got me access to the Business lounge as well.
Boarding starts at 17:50, so I've got just over an hour to wait. I seem to be the only Business Class passenger that doesn't have a laptop or anyone to ring on my mobile (oh, I don't have a mobile!).
Is to too early to review this trip?:Highlight: The PeninsulaLowlight: Not meeting up with Charlie in JapanUnpleasant Surprise: Lack of sleep in Bangkok
I'm also looking forward to entering a country without having to fill in form! Ah, we have a 2 hour delay. We finally took off at 20:15, we're due into LHR at 08:00, which will be good if it pans out. I think the bus that I need to catch leaves Heathrow around 10am.
Well, I've got a aisle bulkhead seat, same format at the NRT->SFO flight; travelling business class makes the process so much easier. It seems that Business and First class gets it's own fast track immigration desks - I didn't know that!
