Day 2 - Sun 04 Sep 11
Up for a Scottish breakfast of sausages, bacon, black pudding and scrambled eggs! After all that, and because the sun is shining with hardly a cloud in the sky decide to walk over the see Dunnottar Castle again. This time take a different route and head down a steep 'path' to the bay next the the castle. Spend some time beach combing, find lots of animals but no gold or treasure washed up.
Head past the castle again and into the bay on the other side - here there is a seal, and then another and eventually four appear! Spend quite some time on the beach watching the tide come in and the seals playing.
Then it was a walk into town were the TIC advised where ice cream could be purchased. A walk down to the waterfront and found the queue snaking its way into Aunty Betty's. A two scoop cone was just what the doctor ordered. Head back to the hotel at lunch time and have another large feast!
All too soon it was time to head up to the railway station and catch the train into Aberdeen, and then the 727 bus to the airport. The EasyJet flight was delayed by about an hour, so it was 23:00 before wheels down at Luton, and even later before it was head down on the pillow.
