Day 1 - Fri 17 Sep 04
Slam my front door at 09:20. Sometimes I wonder how mad I am doing this Countrybagging thing! Although I'm a better flyer than I was, it's still not the most pleasant thing that I do, but I guess needs must. I never like the start of a trip - I guess it's due to the flight, and the unknown. Will I get the bus into town? Will I find the hotel? Will they have my reservation?
My plan is to check into the hotel, and then try the tourist info place for information about Bled. Okay, that has to be the fastest airport transit! 15:40 the plane arrived at the gate, 15:49 I'm sitting on the bus waiting for everyone else!
The bus stopped outside the main railway station, so I nipped in and got my train ticket to Zagreb. No-one could tell me if I needed a visa for Croatia, so I'm just going to go and see. What's the worst that could happen?
Found my hotel and checked in with no problems, the room is spacious and has a TV, but no fridge. I was going to head out, but I had a stinking headache, so decided to stay in and get up early tomorrow.
