Day 2 - Sat 18 Sep 04

Up at 07:15 and downstairs for breakfast, then took a walk into the centre of town. The local market was in full swing, it was mainly food, but there were a lot of shoes as well! After a good look around I got some croissants and bread - headed back to the hotel to dump my purchases, then back out and a climb up to the castle. Met up with "Peter" an old guy who has worked in the US and been a prisoner during the war. He obviously latches on to tourists and starts talking to them!

Art in the Castle

I can't say that Ljubljana is a city full of things to do, but it is very pretty city to wander around. I went up the castle tower which has a great view of the city below it, and the valley in which it sits.
