Day 30 - Mon 8 May 06
On final approach into Heathrow the pilot said 'got some lightning here', and then 'mild turbulence', well I didn't think it was that mild! Then we got a direct hit from the lightning, he came over the PA and said three words "Crew, seats now" - never heard that before. The Virgin flight behind us saw the yuck on the radar, and the commentary from our pilot, and requested (and got) a redirect via Biggen Hill. We had to fly though it!
Down in one piece - the weather in Heathrow is filthy! I bet that this is the same crud that the States got a couple of days ago!
Well, out of Heathrow quickly - no luggage to collect, and onto the 07:02 to Paddington, a taxi and a train from Kings Cross to work - it's good to be back, it's no so good to be back at work!
