Day 4 - Sun 13 Nov 2005
Despite the late night I was up at 8am, but didn't really do a great deal - Em dropped me at the Metro station, and I was back at the Guesthouse by 2:30, I dumped my stuff, and then headed up to the National Cathedral. The views from the tower is very good, but the Cathedral is a bit to far away from the centre of Washington for any great detail.
I took the Metro downtown, and got up the Old Post Office bell tower - the views from here are much better as you're far closer to the Mall.
Then it was a quick look at the Air and Space Museum to see Spaceship One, the winner of the X Prize. By the time I got out, the sun was setting so I wandered down the Mall to the Washington Monument, the new WWII memorial, and past the reflecting pool to the Lincoln Memorial. I got some good floodlit photos of all of them. My battery failed as I took the last photo of the evening - talk about timing!
