Black n' Red

When I'm planning a big trip I buy a Black n' Red A5 wirebound notebook - it's now part of my ritual.

I then use it to plan my transport and accommodation before I go, and while I’m away I use it to record my journal.

There are two types of notebook that I've used, the first was the hardback type, but recently Black n' Red have issued a soft poly vinyl cover notebook, which has an elastic band that keeps the book closed, or at the page you’re using.

I've also spotted a few other people using them - most notably Dan Cruickshank while he was filming his TV series "Around the World in 80 Treasures".
