After just one night in the Ger, which was far too a short a time, I was driven back to Ulan Bator to catch a local train across the Russian border to Irkutsk.
Train 363 has no first class, so I had to 'rough' it in standard class, but it was okay! I tried to visit the (Russian) restaurant car, but I was told (in no uncertain terms) by the large Russian lady in control of the car that it was shut, and it was going to stay shut!
I made sure that all my valuables were locked up safe using my Pacsafe, and all trains have a storage area underneath the bottom bunks that means that you're sleeping on top of your luggage, so it's nice and safe!
Tying the Pacsafe to the bottom of the bunk meant that I could leave the carriage without worrying about my stuff!
