I got to Cairo on 'The Princesa Victoria', a boat from Cyprus, and saw most of the city from a tourist bus as we drove through it - I was amazed at the skill of our coach driver, as he managed to thread the coach through the smallest gap in the traffic that plagues Cairo.
Having said that I did get to see a Papyrus museum, and the Egyptian Museum right in the centre of town.
Inside the Museum there is so much to see, and I only had a couple of hours. I got the see the death mask of Tutankhamun, but what was just as interesting was the amount of "stuff" that was found in the burial chambers - everything that the king would need in the next life, from food for his first meal, to a complete chariot in parts! Amazing!
